Stories is an instrumental guitar album inspired by years of traveling with my family throughout the American West. Written and recorded on the road with only a guitar and an iPhone, these songs became the soundtrack to those journeys.

Michael Tippett is a Southern California guitarist and composer whose instrumental music draws from travel, landscape, memory, and the American West.A guitarist for more than four decades, he has performed throughout the United States and overseas. After years away from recording, he returned to music with Stories, a collection of layered acoustic instrumentals originally written during years of traveling with his family.His music is built around melody, improvisation, and the natural voice of his longtime Yamaha acoustic guitar.
